Drinks with the New Committee - 18th June

On June 18th the Committee will be holding a drinks evening at one of the bars along the canal at the back of the Mailbox in central Birmingham. These events are not meant to be formal or political in tone, it is meant to give the members the chance to get to know their committee and each other on personal rather than political level. It also gives the committee a chance to get to know the members! Dress code is smart casual in keeping with the Mailbox’s dress code. Full details as to which bar we will be meeting in will be posted here on Wednesday morning (18th)

BULS/BUCF Football Match - TBC

The Committee is currently in discussions with the Chair of Birmingham University Labour Students about the prospect of holding a Conservative-Labour football match. The Conservatives were battered 5-1 in the last match however we will be unveiling a new starting line up for the game against Labour. Given the thrashing the Tories are giving them politically it would be brilliant to paste them on the pitch! Full details will be announced closer to the time. However we do expect that this event will be held early in the next academic year. (September/October)
